the 21st edition of the FDA
"Over the years, we have received many creative and unique entries from a wide spectrum of designers of various ages and nationalities," says Mr Simon Ong, Chairman of Design Development, SFIC. "The Furniture Design Award has served as a platform to propel designers in their careers as well as maintain the dynamism and vibrancy of the furniture design industry. This year, SFIC has decided to do without a theme for the Furniture Design Award and we look forward to even more innovative ideas from aspiring designers across the globe.” ekonglong office cubicle manufacturer
This course is designed to equip delegates with all the information necessary to ensure that they are confident in their understanding of consumer legislation, and to aid them in their understanding of the issues surrounding home improvement complaints. The course draws from the experience of The Furniture Ombudsman in handling thousands of home improvement complaints and disputes.
At the 21st edition of the FDA, the organisers have made the decision to encourage an open call for submissions, providing designers with the freedom to explore their imagination and to create furniture that not only appeals aesthetically, but also represents the designers as unique individuals.
Mr. Piotr Saladra, FDA 2013 Grand Award Winner from Poland, says: “Apart from being able to showcase my works to a larger audience, the Award gave me the opportunity to compete with other designers from all over the world, an experience that encouraged me to challenge myself further. I am honoured to have emerged as Grand Award Winner at the FDA 2013, amongst other talented and distinctive designers. Through an open call for submissions this year, I believe that FDA 2014 will see even more creative entries from a growing number of designers.”
