FIRA Gold
Inga Wells, head of marketing at FIRA, says: “This is a fantastic opportunity for businesses to reassure their customers of their commitment to excellence in delivering a first-class, professional installation service. Feedback from retailers is that they recognise how the certification can help gain a competitive advantage by promoting the benefits of FIRA Gold to their customers, and that it will help enhance their reputation and boost sales.” ekonglong modern conference table
The certification is awarded following an annual audit to ensure all staff work to the best-practice, industry standards and legislation by using a comprehensive technical manual developed by FIRA. This helps to reduce issues arising from the installation of a product, be it kitchen, bedroom or bathroom, and ensures a consistent quality of fit. The certification also reviews the company’s complaints system to help ensure the highest level of customer service.
The first standard for bariatric seating is being devised by experts at FIRA, which is calling on manufacturers, specifiers, clinicians, mobility experts, carers and users to provide valuable insight.
On Wednesday 20th March, FIRA’s experienced consultancy team is holding a stakeholder workshop to provide a forum to discuss an industry standard for the size and strength requirements of bariatric seating, at FIRA’s headquarters in Stevenage.
“Currently there are no standards for this type of seating, so our goal is to provide a standard that is workable and reflects reality, which could then be used as the basis for a UK and European standard. We want it to assist users and purchasers to obtain a product that is fit for purpose. We decided to hold a stakeholder workshop as there is nothing like having information from someone who knows about a subject first-hand,” says FIRA project manager Sue Calver.
