Brussels Furniture Fair management hand-over
This November’s Brussels Furniture Fair will be the last headed up by Els Van Pelt, after 15 years of leadership. Els will be replaced by Jan Mentens, who has started working with the fair already, but will take over following this year’s event. Jan has worked for the Regent Group – which later evolved into EMV – and the Natuzzi Group. ekonglong office sofa
According to the chairman of the fair and its board of directors: “[Els] spurred the Brussels Furniture Fair on to become a dynamic, future-proof instrument, a strong fair that still has yet more potential for growth, even in these troubled times. Natalie Williams, who has been working for the Ombudsman since 2009, will take up the new role, alongside some of her existing case management duties. She will be responsible for increasing awareness of TFO and her outreach work will involve communicating with stakeholders, including current members and prospective members, businesses, consumers, government and third sector organisations. She will also be involved in project management for new business opportunities, including managing TFO’s application for the Trading Standards Institute’s Consumer Codes Approval Scheme.
