BFM seeks improved foaming process

CETEM, a science and technology research organisation for wood and furniture based in Spain, has been appointed the co-ordinating body for the European Commission FreeFOAM project, an initiative concerned with the development of a new polyurethane foaming process which aims to significantly reduce health risks and improve efficiency. ekonglong modern office cubicle

Simon set up CPS 20 years ago with his father, supplying general printing to local businesses within South Wales. Following this, it shifted direction to supply the upholstery industry, before later expanding into the bedding market.

“We spent over a year investigating the bedding industry and sourcing materials and specialised inks to manufacture mattress labels,” says Simon. “We are now one of the largest suppliers within the industry, and have also been recognised by winning the prestigious NBF 2012 Component Supplier of the Year award.”

The National Bed Federation is the recognised trade association representing UK manufacturers of beds and their suppliers. Founded in 1912, its members today account for about 75% of the total UK bedding turnover.
